The Role
As an Independent Contractor Rehabilitation Consultant, you will deliver rehabilitation case management services to veterans and serving members, supporting recovery, wellbeing, independence, and transition to meaningful life roles.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a caseload of veterans and/or serving members with physical and/or psychological injuries
* Conducting biopsychosocial assessments and developing tailored rehabilitation plans
* Delivering rehabilitation case management services in line with DVA and relevant frameworks
* Supporting transition from military to civilian life
* Applying early intervention strategies and evidence-based practices
* Liaising with multidisciplinary teams, medical providers, employers, and key stakeholders
* Preparing high-quality reports, including vocational counselling and vocational assessments
* Meeting reporting timeframes and compliance requirements
About You
Essential:
* Qualified Rehabilitation Counsellor with current ASORC registration
* Operates as an Independent Contractor with:
* ABN (and ACN if applicable)
* Own professional indemnity and public liability insurance
* Current professional registrations and memberships
* Experience in occupational rehabilitation, rehabilitation case management, or return-to-work services
* Previous experience working with ADF personnel, veterans, or serving members
* Sound knowledge of veteran rehabilitation frameworks
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Current National Police Check and Working With Children Check
* Current driver's licence
* Based in Sydney
* Previous ADF base pass or security clearance (or ability to obtain)
Desirable:
* Comcare accreditation
* Mental Health First Aid training
* Further experience in veteran and serving member rehabilitation
