The Role:

Reporting to the Southern Region Sales Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for our valued South Australian customers and play a vital role in shaping how Chamberlain is experienced and remembered in the region.

This is a pivotal leadership position, responsible for driving both sales and operational performance across South Australia. You will lead the delivery of short- and long-term business objectives through the strategic management of volume, price, and product mix, while cultivating strong, value-adding relationships with customers.

As a key member of our ANZ Sales & Marketing leadership group, you'll contribute to shaping our national strategy and champion a local culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

You'll be instrumental in driving strategic growth—building and leading a high-performing local team, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering an outstanding customer experience. Through strong commercial leadership and trusted relationships, you'll foster a culture of accountability, quality and performance, ensuring our people, products and service consistently exceed expectations.

This is a hands-on role that requires a leader who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done—whether that means stepping in to support the team, solving problems on the ground, or going the extra mile for a customer.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Area Sales Manager with at least 10 years sales experience - preferably within a technical, light industrial or manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will bring:

Proven experience leading sales and/or operational teams in a customer-facing environment

Proven track record in obtaining new business and growing existing business through volume, price and/or mix

A strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills

A collaborative style with the ability to influence across teams and functions

High-level interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for planning and reporting

A commitment to safety, team development and customer excellence
