The Role
We are seeking an energetic and passionate French teacher to join a high-performing team.
Key responsibilities and expectations:
Deliver the Western Australian Curriculum in French to engage students and develop their skills, knowledge, and understanding of languages.
Create purposeful, student-centred learning experiences that link theory, practice, and real-world situations.
Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
Collaborate as a high-effective team member, contributing to a positive culture of success and motivating students to achieve their personal best.
Apply a growth mindset, embracing challenge, engaging in feedback processes, and supporting curriculum delivery through shared instructional frameworks.
Analyze student results, feedback, and collaborate with peers to refine instructional practices.
Professional Qualifications and Skills
Hold a teaching qualification for French (eligible teaching position).
Demonstrate comprehensive instructional knowledge, theories, concepts, and tactics.
Possess knowledge of Lemov's strategies for developing high expectations in a curriculum setting.
Show mastery of student engagement and higher-order thinking techniques.
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights.
Have or be able to obtain a WA Working with Children Check, Screening Clearance Number, and other required screening credentials.

Mobility Appointment (Optional)
Eligible permanent teachers in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school, may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, retaining the right of return to their substantive position.
At the conclusion of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers may return to their substantive role or transfer permanently to this school.
