ABOUT THE ROLE:
Make a difference to our residents through the preparation of fabulous food
Responsibilities include:
* Assisting the Head Chef with the provision of internal and external catering functions and high-quality food service.
* Maintaining a well organised food production and distribution operation ensuring that the needs of the residents, customers, staff, and the organisation are met.
* Assisting in menu planning, standard recipe development and the dietary needs of the residents and customers.
* Efficiently and effectively utilise the human, financial and physical resources available in accordance with budgetary guidelines.

Skills and Experiences:
KEY ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
* Certificate III or IV in Commerical Cookery.
* Demonstrated experience cooking in a cafe or restaurant setting.
* Working rights within Australia.
* National Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Current Influenza Statement and Covid 19 Vaccinations (highly desirable).
* Effective organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
* Knowledge of the Health Act 1911 (Food Standards), WHS regulations, Food Hygiene regulations, and Food Safety (HACCP) guidelines.
* Safe use of chemicals and knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all applicable chemicals.
