YWCA About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Child Care Worker / Group Leader to join our
Early Childhood Education and Care team. This role can be appointed as either Room Leader or Educator, depending on qualifications and experience.
You will work with children aged 0–5 years, collaborate with a supportive team, and contribute to the development of high-quality educational programs aligned with the EYLF and NQS. Key Responsibilities Room Leader Duties Lead the daily operations of the room, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Develop, implement, and evaluate high-quality educational programs aligned with EYLF and NQS. Guide, mentor, and support educators within the room to deliver best-practice pedagogy. Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, and team members.
Maintain accurate documentation, observations, learning stories, and developmental records. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Communicate effectively with families regarding their child's learning and wellbeing.
Support the Centre Director with continuous improvement processes. Educator Duties Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate learning experiences based on children's interests and developmental needs. Provide high-quality care, supervision, and support to children throughout the day.
Foster positive, nurturing relationships with all children and families. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment. Contribute to documentation and observations of children's learning.
Work collaboratively with the Room Leader and broader educator team. Follow all centre policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
About You A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards).
A passion for high-quality education and care. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Current WWVP check (or willingness to obtain).
Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training (or willingness to obtain). Why
