Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Advisor

The Role
Based on our project in Ormeau, you will report to the Delivery Director and produce timely, clear, and consistent communication and engage with stakeholders and the local community to maintain the project's social licence and promote positive relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the development and delivery of the Project's Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Plan.
* Support day‑time stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring timely and respectful interactions.
* Manage and maintain stakeholder databases, contact logs, and engagement registers.
* Draft and distribute project updates, newsletters, notifications, and media content.
* Respond to stakeholder enquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
* Assist with community information sessions, pop‑ups, drop‑ins, and other engagement events.
* Monitor local sentiment and provide updates to the Stakeholder & Communications Manager.
* Coordinate the preparation of internal and external reports on engagement activities.
* Ensure communications align with project messaging, visual identity, and values.
* Support engagement with First Nations groups, local councils, businesses, and residents as directed.
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Community Engagement
* 2‑5 years of experience in stakeholder engagement or communications, preferably on infrastructure or government projects.
* Experience working with culturally and socially diverse communities.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Empathetic and respectful listener with a community‑first mindset.
* Proactive, organised, and detail‑focused.
* Confident in event coordination and public‑facing roles.
* Collaborative team player who can also work independently.
