About This Role
We are seeking experienced Process Operators to join the ore processing facility team for a leading iron ore company in the Pilbara. This is an exciting FIFO opportunity from Perth to contribute to the safety, reliability, and efficiency of processing operations. Working on a 2:1 roster, this is a 6-month contract with potential for extension based on operational needs and performance.
As a Process Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment within a mining environment, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high safety and performance standards. Your key responsibilities include:
* Operating processing equipment such as crushers, conveyors, mills, screens, and pumps
* Monitoring plant operations via control systems like SCADA to manage process variables
* Conducting quality control through sampling and testing of ore and processed materials
* Performing plant inspections and supporting routine maintenance
* Ensuring safety and compliance with site protocols and environmental standards
* Troubleshooting and optimizing operations to resolve inefficiencies and equipment issues
* Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and managing waste disposal
Requirements
* Proven plant experience in the mining industry
* Experience with wet/dry fixed plants (preferred)
* Mobile plant operation experience with relevant tickets
* Experience with SCADA, Citect, or Simplicity systems
* Isolation Officer certification
* SAP experience
* Remote control operation skills
* Valid Driver's Licence (minimum C Class)
* Full Australian working rights
