About the role
An AO6 Scheduler is required to support the coordination and delivery of multiple construction projects and programs across the region for a leading Queensland Government Department. In this role you will utilise contemporary scheduling systems to develop, manage and maintain project and program schedules, ensuring alignment with resourcing requirements, training needs, and delivery timeframes.
Key responsibilities
* Develop, review and manage schedules for construction projects and programs using contemporary scheduling tools such as MS Project
* Prepare and maintain schedules and plans for current and forward pipeline works, ensuring alignment to time and resource constraints
* Collaborate with apprenticeship supervisors, training teams and delivery stakeholders to schedule apprentices to appropriate projects and maintenance activities
* Develop detailed, integrated schedules in collaboration with delivery teams to support successful program execution
* Create and maintain project and program status dashboards, providing accurate reporting on progress, resourcing, and delivery milestones
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a consistent scheduling approach across projects
* Consult with delivery teams to regularly update schedules, resolve resourcing conflicts, and escalate issues where required
* Support accurate and timely reporting to regional management teams
About you
* Demonstrated experience working as a scheduler within the construction industry
* Strong proficiency using scheduling software such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar
* Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities within tight timeframes
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address scheduling and resourcing challenges
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Current driver’s licence (mandatory)
