Our client is seeking a qualified Mechanical Tradesperson to join our highly experienced Mechanical Services Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a team that plays a vital role in maintaining and modernising the City's fleet, plant, and equipment.

Based at our Knutsford Street Operations Centre, this dynamic role offers exposure to a wide range of tasks involving the City's plant, fleet, and equipment. As a key member of the Infrastructure Directorate, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our operational teams can deliver high-quality services to the Fremantle community.
Key Responsibilities Include
Service and Maintenance: Perform scheduled servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs on the City's plant, fleet and equipmentWelding and Fabrication: Carry out welding and fabrication tasks to support the maintenance and modification of City assetsWorkshop Standards: Maintain a safe, clean and productive workshop environment, by reducing waste, improving efficiency, and contributing continuous improvement initiativesDocumentation and Reporting: Accurately complete all required documentation, including, job cards, repair histories, services records and associated data
The desired applicant shall be able to demonstrate the following:
Trade Qualification: Possession of an Automibile Trade Certificate (to Australian Standards) or recognised equivalentLicences: Minimum current LR (Light Rigid) class driver's licenceAdditional Certification: Valid forklift ticket or willing to obtainTechnical Experience: Demonstrated experience in general repair and maintenance of a wide range of heavy and light vehiclesTeamwork and Independence: Proven ability to work constructively as part of a small team, with the capacity to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision
