About the Role

The CreativeContent Coordinatoris responsible for supporting the creation, coordination and distribution of the Carlton Football Club's digital content across all platforms, including the website, social media channels and mobile app.

This position reports directly to the Digital Content Manager and is instrumental in enhancing fan engagement and retention by delivering strategic, compelling, and high-impact content. A core focus of the role is on short-form and vertical video content that aligns with platform-specific trends, enabling the Club to connect with diverse audiences in innovative and engaging ways.

The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking, highly organised, and innovative individual. With an ability to identify key storytelling moments, emerging trends and high-impact, shareable content opportunities, they will work to position the Carlton Football Club at the forefront of the AFL media and content space

They will work closely with teams within the Marketing, Communications and Digital department, as well as other areas of the business, to help deliver content that support the objectives of the Club and drive brand awareness and engagement with fans.

Key Responsibilities

* Produce a wide range of content for the Carlton Football Club's digital channels, including the Club's social media, website and app
* Plan, shoot, edit and publish high-quality short-form and vertical video content optimised for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube
* Capture behind-the-scenes moments, and other storytelling opportunities in real-time
* Proactively identify news and content opportunities to engage fans
* Conduct player interviews on match days and throughout the week
* Write content for the Club's website, including news articles, feature stories, and other editorial pieces
* Capture high-quality photography including match days, training sessions, and behind-the-scenes moments
* Publish content across the Carlton Football Club's channels
* Maintain the Club's digital channels to ensure they provide users with the best possible experience
* Actively monitor, manage and maintain social media channels
* Engage with Carlton's online community and identify content opportunities
* Engage proactively in strategic planning, creative discussions, and content development
* Ability to collaborate with the wider Marketing and Communications team, as well as other departments across the organisation
* Support relevant internal departments on how to leverage online engagement to help drive their business goals
* Assist in external content production for partners and other stakeholders where relevant

Experience, Skills and Attributes

* Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Media, Journalism or a related field
* Three years of experience in digital content creation or a similar role
* In-depth knowledge of all social media channels including Meta, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube and more
* Up-to-date understanding of social media trends, algorithm changes, and storytelling techniques across all platforms
* Demonstrated experience in content ideation and video editing, with proven results
* Proficiently in short-form video productive for a variety of platforms, ideally within a fast-paced environment
* Experience using a CMS, preferably PULSE CMS and Wordpress
* Competent in using Adobe Suite particularly Photoshop, Premiere and Audition
* Strong journalistic, written and editorial skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent time management, organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and trust
* Proven capacity to multi-task, often to short deadlines
* Creative thinker with a passion for digital engagement and storytelling
* Willingness to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends and match days, as required
