As Head of Regulatory and Government Affairs, you’ll be responsible for shaping and executing Optus' regulatory and government affairs strategy, including its engagement program with government agencies, policymakers and industry bodies to strengthen company reputation overall.
The day to day
* Lead a team to act as the primary interface between Optus and relevant government stakeholders at both the state and federal level including regulatory authorities, ministries, parliamentary committees, and advisory councils.
* Represent Optus in related industry associations, regulatory consultations, working groups, and public forums.
* Ensure company readiness for compliance with national telecommunications laws, licensing conditions, and regulatory frameworks
* Collaborate cross-functionally across the Optus business to enable effective planning and decision-making including with Corporate Affairs & Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Network, and Commercial teams to assess regulatory impacts and support business initiatives
