Case Manager for Kinship Care Families
An exciting opportunity to provide long-term support and enhance the development of children in kinship care placements.
* Full-time, fixed term role until August 2026, based at Bendigo office.
Job Summary:
The position provides case management services for children and young people residing in kinship care in the Inner West. This role aims to promote stability, safety, and well-being for all family members while supporting their development and family functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide case management services to children and young people in kinship care placements.
* Develop and maintain relationships with carers, families, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support.
* Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address complex needs of children and families.
* Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized plans, and coordinate resources to achieve positive outcomes.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make data-driven decisions.
* Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff to build trust and foster a supportive environment.
Requirements:
* Relevant experience in child, youth, and family welfare, particularly in Out of Home Care.
* Strong understanding of legislation, policy, and practice related to Out of Home Care or a willingness to learn and adapt.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple cases.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
