As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Product Developer to join our team and take the lead on bringing new product ideas to life.Reporting into the Head of Product, you’ll be at the forefront of creating products that our customers love - balancing innovation, quality, and sustainability. From concept to production, you’ll steer the development process with creativity, precision, and care. This role is all about turning insights into market leading, functional products that feel like magic when they land in our customers homes.Key Responsibilities:Product Development & LifecycleManage the end-to-end product development process, from concept to product launch, ensuring alignment with product ethos and customer expectations.Own all stages of the product development process, including sourcing, sampling, testing, costing into production.Manage product testing and quality assurance processes to ensure our products exceed customer expectations and stand out in the market.Support with educating and training the broader team on new products through virtual communication and in-office product meetings.Stay ahead of emerging trends, technologies, and textiles in the sleep and home categories to drive product innovation.Implement relevant trends, incorporating them into product designs and strategies to maintain a competitive product positioning.Support the Head of Product and senior leadership teams to define product positioning, purpose, and strategy.Drive the integration of sustainable practices and materials, ensuring our product offerings align with our Made Better commitments.Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with international and local suppliers.Effectively negotiate on new and existing product costs to meet business margin expectations.Support in sourcing new suppliers for new product development launches. Ensuring they meet our supply chain quality standards and are onboarded with precision.Ensure suppliers are well informed and on track to achieve all product development key timelines.About You:Minimum of 5+ years in product design and development, ideally within the home, bedding, or fashion categories. Proven expertise in managing product development of quality product goods.A bachelor's degree or higher in a related discipline will be highly advantageous.Advanced skills in CAD (Illustrator) and technical drawing, with the ability to articulate designs clearly to suppliers and stakeholders.Demonstrated experience working with offshore suppliers, particularly in China, with a strong understanding of production processes and timelines and proven experience in negotiating high-value partnerships.Planning and organisation skills to deliver on development and production timelines. Knowledge of sustainability practices and ethical compliance in sourcing and production.You’re an innately creative person with a keen eye for detail. You know that even the slightest details or tweaks are important to the design and are appreciated by the consumer.Deeply invested in understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.Exceptional relationship cultivation and management skills with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.Why You'll Love It Here:At Sheet Society, it’s more than a workplace, it’s a community.
