**About the role**:
We are currently seeking a Purchasing Officer to join on a short term contract based in Rocklea.

Your role will be responsible for procurement of goods and parts to ensure production can meet agreed deadlines. Professional and thorough in your approach, you will develop effective relationships with vendors to ensure accurate, in-full and on-time replenishment is maintained and negotiate further opportunities for Supply Chain improvements. You will liaise with multiple internal departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of any assigned projects and pro-actively monitor and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the data for all stocked items.

**Skills & Experience**:
Your excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to make and back your decisions are vital to running a smooth procurement process. Paramount to the success of this role is someone who demonstrates effective negotiation skills along with strong organizational skills to effectively manage deadlines and keep within expected lead times.

This role is great for people that are beginning their procurement careers and looking to gain some exposure within a global manufacturing business
