Overview

Part-time (30%), fixed term position through to 31 December 2027. Base salary will be in the range $143,099 - $189,285 + 17% Superannuation (Academic Level C - D). Based at the Prince Charles, Redcliffe or Caboolture Hospital.

About This Opportunity

In 2023, the UQ Medical School established eight geographically based Learning Communities, four of which sit within the Greater Brisbane Clinical School. These communities bring together students, academics, clinical teachers and professional staff to create a supportive academic home where learning is shared, connections are valued, and students are empowered to flourish as medical professionals throughout the MD program.

As Deputy Head of the Learning Community (Year 3), you will play a meaningful leadership role in shaping the Northside Clinical Unit and North Learning Community. Working closely with colleagues and learners, you will help build an inclusive, welcoming environment that fosters belonging, wellbeing and academic growth. Your contribution will directly support medical students at a pivotal stage of their training, enabling them to thrive within a strong, connected clinical learning community while growing your own leadership capability within UQ's collaborative and values-driven environment.

The preferred Academic Category for this position is Teaching Focused. Appointment under the Academic Category of Clinical Academic may be considered in discussion with the preferred candidate.
