We are looking for an experienced CNC Foreman to lead our machining team and help us maintain exceptional standards.
Role Overview
As the CNC Foreman, you will supervise daily CNC machining operations, support machinists, optimize production efficiency, and ensure quality and safety standards are met. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, supervise, and support CNC machinists on the shop floor
* Schedule, coordinate, and monitor CNC production activities
* Set up and troubleshoot CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers, etc.)
* Review technical drawings and specifications
* Ensure parts meet required tolerances and quality standards
* Train staff on machine operation, safety procedures, and best practices
* Oversee preventative maintenance, and report issues
* Work closely with production managers, engineers, and quality departments
* Monitor productivity, identify improvements, and implement solutions
* Manage material and equipment resources, liaise with supervisors on production needs and coordinate daily operations.
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 10 years experience in CNC and conventional machining
* Previous supervisory or lead role experience
* Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, and machine setup
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Strong communication and team leadership abilities
* Commitment to workplace safety
Preferred Skills
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
* Ability to train and mentor junior machinists
* Experience with Heidenhain/Fanuc control with programming experience
