Working closely with all teams within the CHPP, the CHPP Maintenance Technician – Equipment Inspector (Electrical) plays a pivotal role in the work management process by ensuring identified electrical defects are accurately scoped and prepared for timely execution. This is a dynamic role offering a high level of autonomy, requiring strong engagement with internal stakeholders and external service providers to meet planning cycle timelines, site requirements and established processes. Responsibilities Scope, plan and prepare electrical and instrumentation work from defects, condition monitoring data and engineering recommendations.Review weekly and shutdown schedules to confirm work readiness and priorities.Review completed work to ensure compliance with site standards and documentation requirements.Provide technical support for electrical and instrumentation assets, including input to design reviews, repair strategies, modifications and upgrades.Identify equipment risks and contribute to risk assessments, isolation planning and control strategies.Develop and improve inspection techniques, procedures, reporting processes, work instructions, standard jobs and reporting improvements.Support fixed plant maintenance strategies and reliability improvement initiatives, including RCA investigations, identifying alternative products and cost-saving opportunities.Coordinate critical electrical tasks during shutdowns and assist with execution when directed.Liaise with internal stakeholders, engineering teams and suppliers to improve fixed plant reliability.Provide coverage for other equipment inspector roles as required.Prepare and complete change management documentation, introduction to site of equipment, chemical and store stock requests. Qualifications And Experience Electrical trade qualification.CHPP and/or infrastructure maintenance experience.Proven ability to scope work and prepare tasks for execution.Experience with CMMS systems (Pulse or similar).Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards.Strong planning, prioritisation and multitasking skills.High attention to detail and commitment to process.Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office suite).Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate.Demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement.Willingness to embrace change and contribute positively to team culture.
