They are pioneers in sustainable technologies, including advanced Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems and innovative plants that convert organic waste into renewable natural gas. Their mission is to help industries and communities reduce their carbon footprint, increase energy efficiency, and build a more resilient power infrastructure.
MISSION
In this role, you will be a cornerstone of the Brisbane finance team, supporting dynamic operations for a branch that achieved $30 million in its first year. Reporting directly to both the Australian General Manager and the International Finance Manager, you will benefit from exceptional visibility and global mentorship.
As an Accountant and Office Manager, you will act as a vital cross-functional link, ensuring the small, tight-knit team of 9 remains efficient, continuing to grow while aligning locally with the European processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Accounts Payable & Procurement: Manage full-cycle AP and vendor partnerships for energy projects. Act as the primary buyer for the Brisbane branch, utilising SAP to ensure seamless supply chain and procurement operations.
* Financial Reporting & Global Alignment: Lead month-end closing, including accruals, fixed assets, and reconciliations. You will serve as the technical bridge to our European HQ, ensuring local data aligns with global standards and processes learned during your onboarding in Europe.
* Strategic Support & Office Management: Oversee payroll, expense reporting, and cash flow forecasting. Beyond the numbers, you will act as the Office Manager for the Brisbane team, maintaining a stable, efficient environment for our 9-person (and growing) office.
* Cross-Functional Flexibility: Maintain open communication with the European Head of Finance, staying flexible with hours to accommodate time zone differences and participating in international travel 1–2 times per year.
REQUIREMENTS
* Experience: 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally within an industrial, manufacturing, or energy sector.
* Systems: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential; experience with SAP is a significant advantage.
* Technical Savvy: Solid understanding of general accounting principles with the ability to interpret financial statements and manage full-function payroll/purchasing.
* Mindset: An adaptable, curious, and open-minded professional who enjoys a cross-functional role that blends accounting with office management.
* Global Readiness: Prepared for travel to Europe (1–2 times per year) and flexible with hours to coordinate with our European Finance team.
