Job Title: Registrar (Palliative Care)
We are offering a fixed-term, full-time or part-time position at Braeside Hospital, Prairiewood, with contracts either until February 2025 or from February 2025 to August 2025. HammondCare is a NSW Health affiliated organisation committed to providing quality care and supporting staff development.

About the role
This role involves providing palliative care reviews and ensuring clinical care for patients under supervision at Braeside Hospital. The position can be from now until February 2025 or from February 2025 to August 2025, based on the selected contract period.
Key responsibilities
Provide inpatient care to patients in the Palliative Care unit.
Liaise with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
Maintain professionalism in all activities.
Develop a personal learning plan in collaboration with your supervisor.
Participate in after-hours care for palliative inpatients.
Qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies
Commitment to HammondCare’s Christian Mission and values.
Unrestricted NSW Medical Board Registration or eligibility.
Primary Medical degree and at least two years of supervised practice as an RMO.
Experience in Palliative Medicine or related specialty.
Strong administrative and computer skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Current Driver’s License.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Organisational skills and ability to supervise others.
Compassionate and caring attitude.
Advanced trainee in Palliative Medicine (RACP, AChPM) or other accredited trainees.
Experience in oncology or relevant specialties.
Experience in research and quality assurance.
Experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Working towards postgraduate qualifications in Palliative Medicine.
