This role is responsible for overseeing daily laboratory activities, ensuring safety compliance and facility management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in genetics and genomics, with experience in next-generation sequencing.
About the Job:
* Prepare, process and store genetic or tissue samples accurately according to laboratory quality standards.
* Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments; coordinate external maintenance services when needed.
* Assist in drafting and optimizing SOPs and laboratory protocols to improve workflow efficiency.
* Maintain laboratory inventories and place purchase orders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology or an equivalent science qualification.
* Knowledge and experience in genetics and genomics with emphasis on next-generation sequencing.
* Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills with ability to investigate issues in a laboratory environment.
* Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail.
