Dandenong West Medical Centre is a hub for family healthcare, and caters to all your medical needs. We are diverse, with multilingual doctors and allied health professionals. We specialise in family medicine and providing the highest level of service to our patients. Our Medical Centre is a busy, family-oriented Practice with several doctors, a practice nurse, physiotherapy, dietitian, exercise physiotherapist, psychologist, pathology services etc.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone to work 2 - 4 days a week consistently, whom has customer service and/or administration experience, with intermediate computer and interpersonal skills. The job is a long term position with room for future promotion to a managerial role in healthcare administration. An inherent willingness to learn and develop professionally is necessary, with reliability and commitment as a must. Business casual attire required.
Qualifications & experience
* Required: prior experience in administration and/or customer service.
* Qualifications and relevant degrees are not essential but would be highly regarded.
* Satisfactory English writing and reading skills.
* Independent transport necessary.
* Newly gradated high school and university students are welcome given they have prior experience as stated above - the position requires a minimum of 2 - 4 days a week of work.
* Past experience as a medical receptionist in general practice using Medical Director PracSoft and Clinical software is highly regarded.
* Please note - training is one day of intensive learning and practical experience, as well as ongoing training upon starting employment.
Tasks & responsibilities
* Answering phone calls booking appointments
* Booking and confirming appointments
* Liaising with staff doctors and other allied health professionals
* Scanning and importing documents
* Invoicing
* Cleaning
* Interacting with patients and clientele
Future potential:
Upon evaluation of satisfactory work, there is potential for promotion with more responsibility and extension of hours.
