Join our newest Student Accommodation site in Canberra and play a central role in shaping an exceptional student living experience. As the Wellbeing & Events Manager, you'll design and deliver a vibrant calendar of social, educational, and wellbeing programs while overseeing our Community Assistants.
About the Role
Work closely with the Community Manager and onsite teams to foster an inclusive and engaged residential community, build relationships with local partners, and ensure students feel supported, connected and safe throughout their stay.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of inclusive, high‑quality events and wellbeing programs that reflect resident needs and enhance community life.
* Oversee, schedule, and guide Community Assistants, ensuring strong coverage across front‑of‑house, events and operational support.
* Manage full event logistics end‑to‑end; including planning, risk assessments, vendor coordination, budgeting, delivery and evaluation.
* Build partnerships with local businesses, universities and community organisations to expand resident experience and wellbeing support.
* Ensure compliance with WHS, incident management and operational policies while capturing content and insights to support marketing and reporting.

Whether your background is in events, hospitality, community engagement or student accommodation, you bring a great mix of creativity and practical know‑how. You communicate with ease, support residents with genuine empathy, and solve problems before they arise. You enjoy guiding casual staff and building a positive, collaborative team culture. Tech‑savvy and adaptable, you're confident using scheduling tools, CRM/EDM systems, and platforms like StarRez.
Requirements
* Must hold a valid driver's licence and be eligible for a national criminal history check and working with children check.
* Flexibility to work evenings or weekends to support events and resident activities as required.
