Livestock Procurement Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Livestock Buyer to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, you will be responsible for mapping and developing the company's supplier network.
* Map and understand the Livestock national footprint, farmers, locations, price structure, behaviour, and seasonality:
* Develop close relationships with pig producers:
* Manage long-term contract and prices negotiations:
* Create and implement livestock strategy:
* In alignment with Operations and Supply Chain Optimization & Planning team, develop strategies to best fulfill the production capacities and sales requirements:
* Monitor and manage site-based Supplier Performance:
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience within livestock procurement:
* Strong demonstrable experience with strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, planning and forecasting:
* Ability to articulate key metrics and root causes of performance to stakeholders:
* Demonstrated ability to identify and overcome barriers to success:
* Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly and succinctly present technical concepts to non-technical groups:
* Ability to identify, foster and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders:
* Proven ability to work collaboratively within and across teams:
* Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team:
