Role Description: Central Tablelands Local Landcare (CTLL) are seeking a capable and enthusiastic Local Coordinator.
This is a unique role, offering an excellent career opportunity to make an impact at a local and regional level, facilitating community environmental engagement.
This is a self-directed position based in Orange NSW, and reports to the Central Tablelands Local Landcare Chair and committee.
The position is a 1 full time equivalent position, guaranteed until at least June ****, with continuing program to be dictated by NSW Government funding for Landcare.
The position is dynamic and multi-faceted, with some roles including environmental workshop organisation, environmental advocacy, payroll and community engagement.
We are looking for someone who is: Has a strong interest in and commitment to local environmental, sustainable agriculture and community development issues.
Proactive with excellent networking and people skills.
Has excellent communication, co-ordination, administration and computing skills (including accounting software and social media).
Ability to be flexible and manage your time and workload effectively.
Has experience in payroll and company management.

Interpersonal skills - ability to liaise and engage with a broad range of people effectively and maintain relationships.

Experience in project planning, management, record keeping and report writing and grant writing.

Sound coordination, administration, and computer skills.
Is flexible about their working hours over the period of employment.
A current driver's licence.
Selection Criteria: Please address each of the following criteria Sound understanding of natural resource management issues in the region and empathy with the local community and demonstrated experience or a qualification in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science, Sustainable Agriculture or similar.
Demonstrated well developed written and oral communication skills, including competency in the use of Word, Excel, email, Publisher, and the internet.
Demonstrated ability to work with and develop community groups, including group facilitation, action planning and mediation skills.
Proven ability to work with Government agencies, community groups and landholders, including schools and Indigenous groups.
Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision, use initiative and work as part of a team or network.
Ability and willingness to work outside office hours from time to time, to contact landholders and attend community group meetings.
Ability to travel from time to time.
Current Driver's License.
