We are now seeking a Product Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in advancing our technology from R&D to commercial deployment. This is a rare opportunity to work at the cutting edge of global energy innovation and directly contribute to a low-carbon future.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Engineering Officer, you will work across the full product lifecycle—from concept and modelling through to prototyping, testing, and commercial design.
You will contribute to the development of electrolyser stacks and balance-of-plant systems, combining analytical modelling with hands-on engineering to deliver high-performance, scalable solutions.
This is a highly collaborative role suited to someone who enjoys both deep technical problem-solving and practical build/test work.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop electrolyser cell components, materials, and system architectures
* Perform numerical modelling and validation (FEA, CFD) to optimise performance, durability, and cost
* Lead rapid prototyping initiatives using advanced manufacturing methods (including 3D printing)
* Support product development from concept through to manufacturing and deployment
* Develop and maintain CAD models, BoMs, and product documentation within PDM systems
* Design and execute laboratory testing protocols; analyse and interpret results
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define specifications and improve designs
* Engage with suppliers and manufacturing partners to support scalable production
* Maintain rigorous safety, data recording, and quality standards

Qualifications
* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Control Systems Engineering or Industrial Design
* Minimum 3+ years' relevant industry experience
Skills & Experience
* Strong CAD capability with experience designing complex assemblies
* Experience with FEA, CFD, or similar numerical modelling tools
* Proven ability to optimise designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance
* Experience with rapid prototyping and lean product development (e.g. 3D printing)
* Familiarity with testing, validation, and experimental design
* Experience working with suppliers and external partners
* Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
* Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a start-up environment
