About the role
Dermatology Specialist Centre is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN), Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN) to join our close-knit team in North Brisbane, Queensland. This is a casual role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work in a specialised clinical environment.
What you'll be doing
* Providing high-quality nursing care to our patients in a dermatology clinic setting
* Assisting the dermatologists with medical procedures and treatments
* Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
* Collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
* Providing patient education on skin cancer, prevention and treatment options
* Providing pre and post procedure care for patients undergoing skin cancer treatments including excisions and Mohs surgery.
* Co-ordinate patients care, including discussion of pathology results and scheduling of relevant treatments
* Shifts will be across the 3 practice locations at Clayfield, New Farm and Everton Park
* What we're looking for
* Current registration as an RN, EN or EEN with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a clinical nursing role, preferably in a dermatology or other specialist medical setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with patients and the clinical team
* Excellent clinical skills and attention to detail
* Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Some knowledge of Genie software is desirable
