About the role
The Administrative Assistant delivers administrative and reception support, ensuring accuracy of documentation and patient records, assisting with outpatient bookings, and maintaining systems and processes to contribute to an efficient department.
Key duties of the role
* Providing a front-line reception service to the department.
* Attending to, screening, and appropriately directing telephone calls.
* Promptly deal with enquiries by directing enquiries to relevant nursing or medical staff.
* Book patient follow-up appointments.
* Receive and process referrals.
Skills and Experience
* Previous administrative/clerical experience.
* Experience with the use of Windows and Microsoft Office products, e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Work independently and under limited direction to meet deadlines.
* High-level time management and organisation skills.
* Ability to deal with situations, staff, and patients with maturity and empathy.
