An opportunity has come up with a well-established and growing product distribution business that supplies a wide range of products across Australia and New Zealand through retail, distribution and ecommerce channels.
This role will take ownership of purchasing operations, lead a small team and oversee both local and overseas supplier relationships. It's a great fit for someone who thrives in a high SKU, fast moving environment and enjoys improving systems, accuracy and efficiency across purchasing and inventory.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute purchasing strategies across local and international suppliers
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate commercial terms focused on cost, quality and delivery
• Lead, mentor and develop a small team
• Oversee purchasing operations, inventory planning and demand forecasting
• Identify and deliver process improvements across purchasing systems and workflows
• Monitor spend, track performance metrics and maintain data accuracy in ERP systems
• Collaborate with logistics, finance and sales to align purchasing activity with operational needs
What You Will Need
• Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within a high SKU, product-based environment
• Experience managing both local and overseas suppliers
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills
• Hands-on leadership approach with experience managing a small team
• Confident using ERP systems and Excel for purchasing and reporting
• A proactive mindset focused on structure, process and continuous improvement
• Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate effectively across departments
What's on Offer
Package: $120,000 - $130,000 + superannuation (dependent on experience)
