**Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Professional Role**
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse to join our dedicated team in delivering high-quality care to families with young children. The successful applicant will work closely with parents, carers, and other healthcare professionals to identify risks and provide targeted support to improve the health and wellbeing of vulnerable children.
As an Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing flexible and comprehensive services that cater to the unique needs of each family. This will involve working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of children and their families.
* Providing additional in-home support to families experiencing early parenting difficulties through family-focused and collaborative wrap-around care models.
* Delivering high-quality evidence-based practice that strengthens parenting capacity, improves family functioning, and focuses on the health and wellbeing of vulnerable children.
* Empowering families to make informed decisions related to their children's health and development by working closely with primary carers.
* Health promotion through evidence-based education and information relating to all aspects of parenting, including breastfeeding, early learning, nutrition, and immunisation.
* Early identification and intervention to improve linkages with other early childhood support systems, including maternity services, family support, supported playgroups, and early intervention services.
Key Requirements:
* Division 1 Registered Nurse (AHPRA) qualification
* Registered Midwife (AHPRA) qualification
* Graduate Diploma or Masters degree in Maternal and Child Health, Family and Child Health, or equivalent qualification
* Previous experience as an Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse
* Working with Children Check clearance
