We’re on the lookout for a talented APS6 Procurement Officer to join our client for a full time temporary role until June 2026. This role is essential in providing expert procurement advice and support, ensuring our procurement processes align with government standards and deliver great value.
Key Responsibilities
* Offer specialist procurement advice to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and relevant legislation.
* Collaborate with business units to identify procurement requirements early and guide decision-making to optimise resource use.
* Manage procurement records and updates in TechOne, BuyICT, and AusTender, including market approaches, panel arrangements, and reporting obligations.
* Develop clear, user-friendly documentation and workflows to improve procurement practices.
* Support contract management by monitoring and reporting on contract performance and relationships, both internally and with suppliers.
* Promote and embed vision, mission, and values, aligning procurement activities with our broader Strategy 2025–2030.
About You
* Experience working with TechOne, AusTender, and BuyICT is essential.
* Knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act compliance is required.
* Local government or federal agency procurement background is highly desirable.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Proactive communicator who enjoys working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
* A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering quality, timely support.
