Job Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Accounts Assistant to join our Business Support and Finance team.
This role offers an 8:6 roster with flights directly to site from Perth or Kalgoorlie. Flexible working options will also be considered for this position.
* Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide a purchase requisitioning and service entry support service to operational personnel.
2. Monitor invoices and liaise with managers on payment approval and accounts payable.
3. Preparation of accruals based on services received but not invoiced.
4. Assist with month end tasks and journals.
5. Complete general ledger account reconciliations.
6. Provide monthly cost reports to operational personnel.
7. Coordinate timely completion of Weekly and Monthly reports.
8. Maintain SOX control files and comply with management systems and processes.
9. Maintain accounts receivable and contractor back charges.
10. Ad hoc tasks as directed.
About You
* You should have a good understanding of basic accounting practices.
* Previous experience in SAP requisitioning, service entry and purchase order analysis is preferable.
* MS Office software skills, particularly in MS Excel and Word, are required.
* Good verbal and written English communication skills are essential.
* Demonstrable attention to accuracy and detail is crucial.
* You should be able to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve business goals.
* Previous mine site experience would be beneficial, however it is not essential.
* Experience dealing with auditors and audit preparation is desirable.
* You must be able to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met.
* Unrestricted work rights in Australia are required.
