The Character Group – (including Character Cabinets & Stone with Character), located in Armadale, has an outstanding reputation for producing quality cabinets & stonework for W. A's residential Construction & Private market.

We are recognised for our commitment to teamwork and dedication to providing the residential and commercial building industry with a professional service. We have a strong client base of various high-profile building companies.

In this role a strong emphasis will be placed on providing accurate measurements and information back to our production team whilst also being enthusiastic, organised & having a positive attitude, with a focus on efficiency and attention to detail.

Reporting to the Site Measuring Team Leader you will provide a high level of accuracy and customer service, being able to work to deadlines and changing priorities in a busy environment.

Previous experience in the stone masonry, cabinet making or building industry is an advantage for this position.

Key responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:

* Great customer relations with Clients & Supervisors
* Ensure data accuracy using a laser and digital software, you will create accurate digital drawings of countertops along with full room measurements and service locations.
* Complete work orders notating all required measurements, site access, service locations suggested join locations, polished edges etc
* Demonstrate ability to use technology and upload job data and communicate job details to production staff
* Demonstrate ability to work efficiently in an unsupervised environment
* Ability to take direction and follow procedures
* Demonstrate motivation in relation to setting and achieving goals
* Good problem-solving skills with the understanding of how to identify problems, overcome them and suggest improvements
* Being able to use your initiative
* Understanding company processes & department KPI's
* Ability to organise and prioritise daily tasks
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure site measures are processed efficiently and effectively;
* Ability to build effective & ongoing client relationships;

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

* Must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency
* Must have a valid West Australian driver's license
* Have a positive approach to learning
* Be well presented, motivated, reliable, punctual with a strong work ethic
* Exceptional time management and organisational skills
* Self-motivated
* Well-developed communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills;
* Construction Industry Knowledge is an advantage
* Ability to read & understand builders plans is a must

This is a permanent full-time position whereby the successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday as required. Wages to be based on experience and qualification.
