Monash University: Claims Advisor Role

We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team, responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of claims from inception through to resolution. Key responsibilities include investigating liability, analysing medical and rehabilitation data, assessing claim values, and negotiating settlements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management and negotiation of claims, including communication with solicitors or direct claimants, by phone, correspondence and/or attending settlement conferences and/or hearings
* Obtaining and reviewing medical, financial, investigative and rehabilitation reports to assist in the accurate assessment of individual claims
* Ensuring legislative compliance timeframes are met in conjunction with ongoing review of medical, financial investigative and rehabilitation reports
* Adopting appropriate strategies to resolve claims cost effectively
* Ensuring early access to appropriate rehabilitation so that injured claimants can achieve optimal recovery from their injuries
* Negotiating claims settlements with solicitors in line with legislative, regulatory and procedural guidelines
* Providing an excellent level of customer service to the legislative authority, employers and injured claimants through compliance with legislation, timely response times and efficiency in processing
Requirements:
* Sound knowledge and experience in handling CTP or personal injury claims or Law is preferred
* Tertiary qualifications, including Legal, Allied Health or Insurance would be advantageous
* Excellent analytical skills and technical skills
* High attention to detail
* Pro-active and energetic team player
* Highest professional approach to all aspects of claims handling
* Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to listen, build rapport, communicate complex information and negotiate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
* Strong administrative and written skills
* Strong commitment and a high degree of integrity to help meet and exceed customer expectations
