Job Description:
Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) Teacher
The successful applicant will lead teachers in developing and implementing student-centred curriculum and assessment adjustments.
They will work closely with staff to strengthen professional development in Special Education Needs (SEN) and coordinate the school's approach to Equitable Access to Assessment Policy.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain networks, and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders.
They will provide timely support to students, staff, and families using a student-centred case management model.
* Lead the school-wide Individual Education Plan (IEP) process, development, and review of IEPs.
* Support the transition of Year 6 students with special educational needs into high school.
* Implement Equitable Access to Assessment adjustments and assist with applying for and coordinating special exam arrangements.
* Liaise with external agencies to ensure comprehensive planning for students with identified learning support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Contemporary evidence-based practices related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and various learning disabilities and learning difficulties.
* Exceptional organisational skills, time management, prioritisation, record-keeping, and data analysis to inform planning and practice.
