About the Role
Due to our expanding class action base, we are seeking to recruit experienced and dynamic lawyers capable of overseeing matters and directing junior staff as required in our Canberra office. Ideally, applicants will be located in Canberra or be willing to relocate.
We are seeking to recruit a lawyer to work on general litigation and dispute resolution matters, who is interested in working towards building their own client base. Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years' post-admission experience and be confident working across a variety of matters with appropriate support.
The roles on offer are at Lawyer or Associate level and would best suit applicants looking for a supportive firm that will assist them in growing their practice and developing their career. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking to take the next step in their legal journey.

The ideal candidates will possess:
* Admission to practice in an Australian jurisdiction
* A minimum of 2 years PAE in private practice
* A background in litigation in the Federal Court
* Experience overseeing large files
* Ability to adapt to an evolving scope of work
* Confidence in dealing with clients and third-party stakeholdersAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to organically develop their own client base
* A 'can do' results driven attitude
Duties will include:
* Working on large litigation files in a team environment
* Liaising with clients and third-party stakeholders
* Drafting correspondence and documents in the course of litigation
* Briefing and liaising with Counsel and litigation funders
* Working collaboratively to develop strategic direction
While employment law or class action experience is desirable, it is not essential. Project management experience and experience managing a small team is also desirable.
