FULL TIME 38 HOURS PER WEEK MINIMUM 4 WEEKS ANNUAL LEAVE SALARY PLUS SUPER

LTD. (ABN 67 009 487 218) is looking for a Metal Machinist (First Class) to support their workshop operations in Kingston, Tasmania. -Great working conditions in modern, well-organised, and clean workshops To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification or at least 3 years' experience in a similar position. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
-Reads blueprints and technical specifications to understand the requirements for the metal component to be machined -Prepares and configures machine tools for specific jobs and ensures correct fixtures, settings and tools are applied -Forms metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind, plane, bore and drill metal
-Checks fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments -Polishes, deburs and finishes the machined parts to ensure they meet the specified finish quality -May program and operate computer numerical control machines to guide machine tools in producing parts
-Troubleshoots machining issues and equipment malfunctions to maintain production efficiency -Optimizes machining processes by selecting appropriate cutting speeds, feeds and tooling to improve productivity -Performs routine maintenance and follows safety procedures to ensure machines operate safely and reliably
