Leussink Engineering, located in Wollongong NSW, is a world leading precision engineering company with the latest technology CNC Machining & Fabrication equipment, design tools and a great range of specialised, productivity enhancing engineering equipment. We're currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our leadership group.
The position offers varied and exciting design and project engineering work on mining, heavy industrial, transport, defence and other large, critically important equipment. This includes; reverse engineering, using state-of-the-art in-house metrology equipment; design of new and replacement mining/industrial components; and full design and management of products and systems.
You'll be the “go-to” person on all matters concerning engineering and other technical matters. You’ll work closely with all areas of the business, including sales and the manufacturing team which has some of the world’s most sophisticated and modern milling and turning equipment available in the country.
We're looking for a passionate Mechanical Engineer with the following key attributes & skills:
* Professional mechanical engineering qualifications preferably with a cnc machinist trade background;
* Minimum 5 years experience in the industrial/mining manufacturing industry;
* Skilled in the use of Solidworks design tools;
* Attention to detail - a key focus in the areas of QA pre-manufacture and final inspections design checks, etc;
* Skilled in the use of reverse engineering metrology equipment - preferred, not mandatory;
* Mentoring/coaching/managing interns/graduates & other inexperienced technical personnel;
