The Client The client is working across a range of global & Australian projects with a focus on brownfields & precious metals.
They are seeking an experienced and qualified Lead Power Engineer to join and lead their Systems & Power team in their Perth office.
The Role As Lead Power Systems Engineer, you will form part of the client's core management structure and will be responsible for contributing heavily to the overall design capability and project delivery of the team.
To provide lead level client interfacing, engineering design, testing, supervision, and project management services for clients in the mining, minerals processing and utilities sectors.This position will provide the opportunity to develop skills working in a pro-active, friendly team environment that specialises in innovative electrical engineering design.
About You You will be: Client focused with the ability to identify opportunities, propose and win project work and to oversee the execution and delivery of these project works.
Have solid experience in leading the detailed engineering design of project including the supervision and direction of more junior engineering staff.
Comfortable executing System analysis and modelling, design calculations, computer simulations.
Able to work independently and be able to supervise and direct subordinates.
Have strong commercial awareness with the ability to formulate, manage and meet project targets and budgets.
Seasoned in project design in minerals processing applications, power generation, power distribution/transmission or the utility sector.
Strong professional report writing and communication skills.
Demonstrable experience in the leadership and mentoring of junior engineers.
Key Requirements To be successful, you will also have: Electrical Engineering Degree, recognised by Engineers Australia.
A demonstrable positive can-do attitude.
