Job title:Assistant Manager – Premium Retail Hospitality Food & Beverage

Overview

VenuesLive WA is looking for a dynamic, permanent Assistant Manager to join our energetic Premium Retail Hospitality Food & Beverage team at Optus Stadium. The purpose of this role is to assist in the end-to-end management of the Premium Hospitality Food & Beverage program. You will bridge the gap between strategy and execution, overseeing front-line delivery across member areas and premium dining spaces. You will be responsible for implementing seamless service sequences, maintaining impeccable standards, and ensuring the commercial success of the program under the guidance of the Hospitality Food & Beverage Manager.

Your focus will be:

* Oversee the end-to-end delivery of premium F&B for corporate suites, member areas, and functions.
* Lead and mentor a high-performing service team to ensure a "fans-first" experience at every event.
* Implement and maintain elite service standards and operating procedures to ensure exceptional hospitality.
* Oversee event-day logistics, including equipment setup, "bump-in" processes, and contractor management.
* Coordinate staff rosters and recruitment to meet event demands.
* Monitor budgets and COGS to drive the commercial success of the premium hospitality program.
* Prepare pre-event forecasts and post-event analysis to improve financial and operational performance.
* Uphold strict health, safety, and food compliance standards for all staff and guests.
* Monitor catering equipment condition and provide feedback on yearly recommendations of future capital expenditure.
* Liaise with hirers, key users, corporate clients and members to fulfill specific catering and event requirements.

To be successful, you will have:

* Full and unrestricted working rights in Australia (no limitations on hours or restrictions working for the same employer).
* 5 years' experience in a similar catering and/or food and beverage service delivery position.
* Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
* Food Safety Supervisor certification.
* Qualification in Event or Hospitality Management (desirable).
* Proven ability to lead a diverse hospitality team.
* Strong competency in Microsoft Office Suite and Event Management software.
* High level of literacy and professional writing ability.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Exceptional time management and organisational abilities.
* Proven operational experience in event, venue or other large-scale catering operation.
* Exposure to sales in a large-scale food & beverage operation and execution of sold product.
