**About the role**
As a General Maintenance Fitter you will be part of the Cold End Department. You will assist the General Maintenance Supervisor/Engineer with organisation and running of the General Maintenance department and improve the technology and processes of the glass bottle manufacturing through capital projects.
**Key Responsibilities for the role**
- Develop the weekly maintenance work schedule, execute and monitor scheduled works in order to ensure machines are in their optimum working condition and work orders are all in thoroughly.
- Order critical spare parts and engineering services from national and international suppliers.
- Provide On Call advice to day shift & afternoon shift fitters outside of normal hours and possibly assist in coordinating breakdown repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance according to site requirements.
- Ensure that the general maintenance team have adequate tools and resources to be able to refurbish parts and maintain equipment as required
**Skills & experience**
- Qualified Maintenance Fitter (Cert III in Engineering).
- At least 3 years' experience in a similar production type team leadership role.
- At least 3 years of experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of utilities and packaging equipment.
- Experience in working knowledge of CMMS (computerised maintenance management systems).
- Experience working with automated manufacturing environment.
