The role:
Do you prefer working nights where you can take ownership, solve problems on the spot, and keep a critical operation running? We're looking for a hands‐on Maintenance Electrician to support a 24/7 dry mix production site. You'll be working across a range of equipment including unloading systems, dryers, mixers, conveyors, and palletising machinery – keeping everything running safely and efficiently.
This is a Sunday – Thursday night shift role (8:00pm – 4:00am) where you'll be the key maintenance contact on shift – troubleshooting issues, keeping plant equipment running, and making real‐time decisions that impact production. You'll also have the opportunity to use your fault‐finding skills across both electrical and mechanical systems, with full training provided on site‐specific machinery.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across all plant equipment
* Diagnose faults and perform hands‐on repairs (electrical & mechanical)
* Maintain and update the maintenance management system (Guardian)
* Conduct routine inspections to identify hazards and improvement opportunities
* Manage and organise spare parts, stocktakes, and inventory
* Support operations teams with real‐time problem solving
* Liaise with equipment suppliers and international stakeholders for escalations
* Coordinate contractors and ensure all work is completed safely
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site
Your experience
We're looking for a practical, solutions‐focused maintenance professional. You're naturally curious and enjoy learning how complex machinery works and figuring out how to fix and improve it.
* A‐Grade Electrical Licence
* Strong fault‐finding and troubleshooting ability
* Solid understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and automation
* Good communication skills and ability to work independently
* Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Highly Regarded
* Mechanical maintenance experience (belts, bearings, conveyors, pneumatics)
* Experience with packing, processing or automated machinery
* Confined space and forklift tickets
* Exposure to maintenance systems and preventative maintenance planning
