Mechanical Maintenance Specialist
About the Role:
The successful applicant will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work on a range of OEM equipment for the rail industry.
This includes, but is not limited to:
* Carry out overhauls and repairs on transmissions, final drives, and couplers
* Perform non-trade incidental tasks related to production
* Follow detailed engineering instructions to perform works to OEM standards
* Test manufactured items as required in line with company procedures and standards
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure that all checks and tests are carried out in accordance with company quality control standards
* Perform machining as required for standard and non-standard production
* Maintain tools and equipment in a clean safe operating condition
Requirements:
* Trades qualification as Fitter & Turner
* Available Monday-Friday to work shifts and overtime
* Able to work autonomously and in a team environment
* Attention to detail and quality
* Physically fit for the demands of a mechanical fitter role
* Good understanding of and compliance with OHS in the workplace
