About the Role
As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will provide tailored support to participants with disabilities, including those with complex behaviours and mental health challenges.
No two days are the same. You will play a vital role in helping participants achieve their personal goals while supporting their daily routines, wellbeing, and community engagement.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Personal care and daily living support
• Medication assistance and administration
• Supporting community access and social participation
• Household tasks and meal preparation
• Building positive routines and life skills
• Providing emotional support and promoting independence
• Working collaboratively with families and support teams
• Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting
Most importantly, you will build meaningful connections and create positive experiences that help participants live their best life.
About You
You are patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting people to thrive.
You understand the importance of trauma-informed care and have experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions, intellectual impairments, and challenging behaviours.
You are confident in building rapport, recognising triggers, de-escalating situations, and maintaining professional boundaries while providing compassionate support.
What You’ll Need
• Experience in disability support, mental health, or community care preferred
• Current First Aid & CPR certification
• Valid Driver’s Licence and a reliable, fully insured vehicle
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• Blue Card
• Current National Criminal History Check
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, sleepovers, and weekends
• Unlimited working rights in Australia
