Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising for a Boilermaker in the Lead Smelter – Mechanical Maintenance team. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa and requires a 4/4/4/2 roster.
The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide effective maintenance in a safe, efficient and cost‐effective manner to ensure that production and statutory requirements are met.
Responsibilities
* Routine maintenance inspections, shutdown, and fixed plant work
* Work on a range of mining equipment including structural steel, storage bins, chutes, guarding and pipe work
* Interpret scale drawings or specifications to determine job requirements and materials
Qualifications
* Trade experience in mining, heavy industry or quarrying with an Engineering Fabrication Trade (Heavy Fabrication – Boilermaking)
* Ability to meet deadlines and high safety standards, with risk/control awareness
* High level of work quality, exceptional communication skills
