A leading top-tier law firm and the market leader in Australia is seeking to grow its Competition practice, with opportunities available for Solicitors (2–4 PQE) and Senior Associates in Sydney or Melbourne due to growth. The Role
The successful candidates will join a highly regarded national and global competition practice, advising clients across the full spectrum of competition, consumer and regulatory law. The work includes cartel and behavioural investigations, litigation, merger control and clearance matters, and strategic advisory and regulatory work. The team advises clients across a diverse range of sectors including technology, telecommunications, energy and natural resources, financial services, infrastructure, transport, manufacturing and retail. The role offers exposure to complex matters, direct client contact and the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as experience develops.
Requirements
* 2–4 years' post‐qualification experience for Solicitor roles, or relevant experience as a Senior Associate
* Experience in competition, consumer and/or regulatory law gained in a leading law firm or relevant regulator
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities, work collaboratively and operate autonomously when required
* Commercial mindset and genuine interest in understanding clients' businesses
