Alfred Health Psychiatry Registrar Training Program
Alfred Health is a leader in healthcare delivery, improvement, research, and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, offering ambulatory, inpatient, and home and community-based services.
Alfred Psychiatry seeks motivated psychiatry registrars who share The Alfred's values and wish to participate in the Psychiatry Registrar Training Program.
Positions Available
Nine first-year (Stage 1) positions are available for trainees working in a recovery-focused service that promotes collaborative care, engages families, carers, and non-government organizations, and prioritizes registrar training and welfare.
Rotations
* Six months at one of two adult inpatient wards at The Alfred
* Six months at proximally-located community mental health clinics in St Kilda Road
Teaching and Educational Support
The new "Foundational Elements in Psychiatry" program offers weekly clinical educational sessions and regular clinical interview skills tutorials to strengthen theoretical and practical clinical knowledge.

Vaccination Requirements
In accordance with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, healthcare workers in Category A or B roles are required to be vaccinated against influenza or hold an acceptable medical exemption.
