The role
Based in Garden Island, we are seeking Mechanical and Structural Maintenance Coordinators to join our Above Water Systems team. You will manage work packages within major Naval and Commercial projects, overseeing safety, cost, schedule, and quality, and ensuring smooth project execution alongside Managers, Project Managers, and Supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain high safety standards and enforce environmental policies.
* Monitor workplace safety and implement corrective measures.
* Oversee project execution, managing client relationships and subcontractors.
* Coordinate trade supervisors and subcontractors to meet project timelines.
* Track project progress, address risks, and report to managers.
* Analyse labour hours and material costs to meet financial targets.
* Ensure compliance with quality and technical standards.
* Attend meetings to monitor progress and resolve project challenges.
About you
* Qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or relevant trade experience.
* Strong safety leadership in complex industrial environments.
* Previous Superintendent experience is an advantage.
* Experience in costing, technical proposals, and financial processes.
* Background in shipbuilding, ship repair, heavy engineering, or civil engineering is beneficial.
* Must be an Australian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate Defence security clearance.
