* Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines that ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources including APIs, databases, and streaming platforms.
* Enhance the efficiency and responsiveness of data systems by applying techniques such as query optimisation, data structuring, and performance improvements.
* Use distributed processing approaches to handle large-scale data transformation and processing.
* Monitor data systems, investigate issues, and resolve performance or data quality problems to ensure reliable operations.
* Implement appropriate data security and privacy controls across data storage and processing environments.
What we're looking for
* Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric is essential, with certifications (DP-600 or DP-700) highly regarded.
* Experience designing and delivering modern cloud-based data storage solutions (e.g. data lakes and data warehouses).
* Proven experience building and managing data pipelines across multiple data sources.
* Hands-on experience with large-scale data processing using distributed computing frameworks.
* Strong understanding of data performance optimisation techniques.
* Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience using Git and CI/CD for code and pipeline deployment is highly desirable.
