We are looking for a senior finance leader to shape Stockland's climate related financial reporting and act as the key Finance partner for sustainability initiatives across the group. This is a full-time permanent role with high visibility to senior leaders and governance committees.
We're Looking For
A commercially astute Senior Finance Manager who can lead climate related external reporting, translate complex requirements into clear insights, and partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Sustainability and the broader business. You will bring strong technical accounting capability and genuine curiosity about sustainability and climate markets.
What You'll Do
You will take ownership of Stockland's external statutory climate disclosures to the ASX, ASIC and joint venture partners, ensuring they are accurate, compliant and delivered on time.
You will lead the discovery, implementation and embedding of new climate disclosure requirements into business-as-usual processes across Finance and the wider organisation.
You will act as the Finance liaison for sustainability related strategic initiatives, providing financial insight and analysis to support decision making and long-term value creation.
You will manage key external relationships, including assurance and advisory firms such as PwC, and prepare clear, well-structured papers for the Audit Committee and Sustainability Committee.
You will lead and develop an onshore team of two, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement as this emerging area of reporting continues to evolve.
About You
You are a finance professional who enjoys working at the intersection of accounting, sustainability and strategy. You thrive in roles where you can build new capability, lead complex change and influence senior stakeholders. You are looking for the opportunity to help shape one of the most significant shifts in reporting standards in a generation.
Experience & Skills That Count
Bachelor of Commerce or Accounting is required, with Chartered Accountant CAANZ qualification preferred.
Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and emerging climate reporting frameworks and methodologies.
Proven senior experience in finance or accounting, ideally in property, development, real estate or similarly complex asset environments.
Experience with sustainability or climate related reporting and working closely with external auditors and advisers.
Advanced analytical, communication and project management skills, including experience preparing governance or committee papers.
The Right Mindset
A collaborative people leader who builds high performing teams and supports others to grow.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and on emerging topics with a focus on continuous improvement and practical solutions.
Able to build credibility and influence with senior leaders and external stakeholders through clear thinking, sound judgement and strong relationships.
