An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Safety Advisor to make a real impact, delivering positive safety outcomes through collaborative engagement across the organisation.
The Opportunity
As the Senior Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in shaping and enhancing workplace health, wellbeing, and safety across their organisation. Reporting to the Manager Strategic and Community Initiatives, you will be responsible for implementing the WHS Strategic Plan, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, and fostering a proactive safety-first culture.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Lead and develop the WHS Strategic Plan and WHS Management System
2. Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, codes of practice, and self-insurance performance standards
3. Advise and support key stakeholders, including General Managers and the People & Culture team
4. Monitor and analyse workplace incidents through Skytrust, driving proactive safety initiatives
5. Oversee investigations into high-risk incidents and develop corrective actions
6. Develop and maintain a KPI reporting framework and conduct internal WHS audits
7. Support return-to-work processes and injury management programs
8. Promote and embed a strong WHS culture through training, consultation, and best practices
About You
You are a passionate and experienced safety professional with strong leadership and communication skills. You thrive in a role where you can influence and drive positive change across an organisation.
* Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety or equivalent experience
* In-depth knowledge of SA WHS legislation, regulations, and RTWSA standards
* Experience working within a self-insured WHS framework
* Strong background in incident investigation, risk assessment, and audit programs
* Ability to develop policies, procedures, and training programs
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
